Darragh Chaplin

Darragh Chaplin

Throwing himself into vulnerability, darragh has homed in on his ability to seemingly narrate the complicated emotional inner-workings of most people’s lives, using his own experiences to tackle topics such as social anxiety, self-awareness, and toxic idolisation.

Influenced by his mum´s Irish background, darragh draws influence from his folk roots, illustrating his ability to express complex emotions with poetic dexterity. His dad´s musical obsession and jazz background inspired darragh to pick up multiple different instruments from a young age including drums, guitar, bass, and piano. Also, a versatile producer, darragh creates dark alt-pop soundscapes with a gritty electronic edge, all underpinning a unique, emotional but confident vocal performance.

Fresh off the back of his sold out debut show at The Bedford in London, darragh has garnered support from BBC Introducing’s Jacqui Rushton, calling him “brilliantly talented” as well as Kiss and Hits Radio presenter Jordan Lee labelling his debut single, Did It to Myself, a “god-tier pop song”, backed up by Hits Radio making the song it’s Pride Priority Play.
