Dave Sears and The Folk Thing is the solo project of Dave Sears, guitarist/mandolin player of folk/rock duo ‘Yeti Love’. Having played solo around the London folk bars mostly from Camden to Greenwich, his music has been described as independent folk, such as Bert Jansch or John Martyn mixed with the modern influence of Nick Cave or Jack White. Also, as half of folk rock duo ‘Yeti Love’ who´ve recently toured with ‘Queens of the Stone-age’ bassist Nick Oliveri on his ‘Death Acoustic’ Tour he has been able to meet enough brilliant musicians on his travels to form ‘The Folk Thing’. He plays mostly solo and occasionally with singer Karis Bunney..
