Folky MacFolk Face is a traditional music four-piece band based in central Scotland that performs original material as well as well-known Scottish, Irish and Americana songs and tunes. Composed of four vocalists who play a blend of guitar, mandolin, fiddle and accordion, Folky MacFolk Face has built up a reputation on the festival and folk club scene in Scotland for entertaining performances that leave audiences wanting more.
With their debut on the Danny Kyle Stage at Celtic Connections 2017 which received a “highly commended” rating from the judges, Folky MacFolk Face launched themselves onto the folk and traditional music scene. Their debut album “When Night Falls” with its blend of original Scottish, Irish and Transatlantic songs has been a great success for the band.
The second album “On the Edge” (June 2019) features 12 tracks which include original songs and tunes as well as collaborations with internationally renowned musicians Adam Sutherland and Xosé Liz plus others. The result is a beautiful blend of Scottish, Irish and Galician music with a healthy dose of blue grass thrown in.
