The Hightown Crows, described by Blues Matters magazine as “top quality entertainment”, are a rockabilly blues band who play “seriously boppin´ blues”(Time Out magazine). Their infectious raw and original sound comes from, guitar- Hinton Admiral, double bass- Choppy Lansdowne and a suitcase drum kit- Emery Down. They write and perform all their own songs, and have released five well-selling cds
They perform gigs and events of all kinds at home in Dorset, London, across the country and Europe, playing bars, music venues, open-air festivals, weddings, private parties and PR events. They are regulars at Glastonbury Festival, and have played at the Alta Soul and Blues festival in Norway for two consecutive years; in Holland, including performing on board the artboat, Stubnitz in the Port of Amsterdam, and in Germany, including White Trash in Berlin.
