Jane grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland. She began her musical career singing for well known local jazz/soul and hip hop groups. She would often sneak into clubs to perform alongside well known Edinburgh DJ´s at a very young age. Her travels have taken her to a number of different places around the world and at each stop she has linked up with many musicians from different genres and backgrounds. These adventures are heavily reflected in her songwriting. Jane moved to Brighton in 2014 to pursue a solo career and she has written a collection of her own works. Her music reflects early 70’s acoustic folk, raw, stripped back songs, which highlight her pure, ethereal style of singing and lyrical prowess. There are also glimmers of soul in the way she delivers her melodies as she takes strong influence from that style and the great vocalists from that genre, as well as other artists like Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell and Beth Gibbons
