gentle songs are inspired by family stories, nature and small natural moments in life. Her warm voice complements the guitar and range of images, atmospheres and evocative descriptions. In 2018 Lara found her love of writing songs was reignited at a music retreat in Devon. During covid Lara wrote, and recorded her first EP The Bees with a friendly, helping hand from Boo Hewerdine and the excellent skills of Chris Pepper at Salt Studios.
From learning to play the Beatles, to dancing Serbian kolos, and listening to Everything but the Girl and other 80s bands, to Ivor Gurney, Lara has a wide range of musical influences. Her voice is warm, and she enjoys crafting meaningful lyrics that bring the audience into the spaces she creates with her enticing melodies.
