Lingua Franca Ensemble

Rotterdam
Lingua Franca, once the language of commerce and diplomacy in the Mediterranean - a blend of Portuguese, Arabic, French, Italian, Turkish, Greek and Spanish cultural elements, inspired the sentimental musical journey of the quartet. With their charismatic playing, their fresh and truthful approach to the Eastern tradition and their open engagement to new music, the quartet has been successful in reaching a wide and varied audience of listeners.
