“Combining soaring melodies and infectious alt.-pop hooks Lloyd Jerwood has created a songwriter sound for the modern age”. Inspired by artists as diverse as The 1975 and John Mayer, Jerwood has developed a wide musical palette that he ties together with his breathy vocals at centre stage.
Of Welsh and Kiwi descent this London-based artist has toured the UK and Europe alongside numerous pop-songwriters such as Dodie (in Greta Isaac’s band) and Hannah Grace among others.
Love of both traditional guitar approaches and more synth-based sounds help to define Jerwood’s original creative pursuit. His debut single ‘To New York’, produced by Dua Lipa- collaborator Jacob Attwooll leads the charge as Jerwood gives us the first taste of this new direction.
Expect nostalgic lyrics and a healthy dose of heartbreak. “In my teens and early 20’s I didn’t know who I was and why I was doing what I was doing. Music really helped me figure that stuff out, and these songs in particular feel like a really solid representation of me.”
