Luna Bec
Luna Bec sings songs of love, loss and everyday magic. Wildly authentic, intense and vulnerable, her songs explore the human condition from the intimate to the universal, woven together with her particular wry humour. The result is a live performance that’s as light as it is deep – immersive, cathartic and uplifting.
A multi-instrumentalist, Luna Bec’s music has taken a journey of many turns through jazz, funk, folk and electronica. Her debut EP was released May 2020 and its title song “Power To Change” is a haunting call to arms on the theme of the climate crisis. During the lockdowns she produced a series of contemplative protest songs, including “Breath” with its powerful video featuring ex-National Ballet dancer Shevelle Dynott.
Luna Bec performed at Rumble Festival in 2022, How The Light Gets In festival in 2019 at Kenwood House and in 2020 (online) and has toured in Norway and Poland. Throughout 2022 her songs have been featured as the theme music in an ongoing collaboration with podcast Green Dreamer hosted by activist Kamea Chayne.
