Olga Glazova

Pskov
Winner of over 30 international and national folk music competitions, twice nominated for S. Kuryokhin award in the field of contemporary art – “Ethnomechanica – the best world music project“ - Olga Glazova is an absolutely stunning and utterly unique performer whose instruments are the 30-stringed custom-made gusli, akin to the Finnish kantele, and the harp. She dazzles audiences with her instrumental compositions and songs she sings in Russian, English and other languages. Hailing from the Russian town of Pskov, close to the Estonian border, this exceptionally talented ´guslyar´ already has five solo albums to her name and is resurrecting an otherwise-lost technique of finger playing.
Olga has collaborated with several Russian music giants such as Theodor Bastard, Affinage band, Aquarium´s Boris Grebenschikov, master of folk S.N. Starostin. Others worth mentioning include Gregg Kofi Brown (OSIBISA, London, UK), Valery Tolstov (Zurich, Switzerland) and Alexander Boldachev (Tokio, Japan). In 2020 she collaborated with the Art of Peace global project, composed and arranged by Mehran Alirezaei.
