Owen Duff

Owen Duff is an independent singer-songwriter and videomaker, adrift in east-east-London. He has been making music since the age of five and now writes, performs and produces his own songs. He plays piano, self-taught guitar, drums, a little ukulele and an even littler cello. Owen owes his musical ability to a small blue Yamaha keyboard with light-up keys, a Ghanaian piano teacher and a good ear (just the one). His musical influences include Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Björk, jazz pianist Keith Jarrett, Bernard Herrmann´s Hitchcock scores and the French musicals of Michel Legrand.
Owen has released five EPs, a couple of singles and a small flotilla of music videos; as well as recording an album of twenty songs which, rather than releasing, he hid in secret locations around the world. This was documented in the video for ´The Race´, which accompanied the launch of Owen´s fourth EP ´Realityicide’.
