Racker Donnelly & Jacquelyn Hynes (RackerJacq) present a delightful evening of Irish music and stories. Racker is well-known performance poet, storyteller and entertainer, whose rhymes and songs, mostly comic, cover a huge range of subjects. He has played with the Chieftains, Christy Moore, Ardal O´Hanlon and Dara Ó Briain. A former UK Slam Champion Poet, he has featured in several Sidmouth and Whitby folk weeks. Jacquelyn is a highly regarded flautist, rooted in Irish and English traditional music, who has supported Martin Hayes, Michael McGoldrick, Lunasa, and Steve Wickham and Ray Coen. Her CD Silver and Wood was awarded four stars by the Daily Telegraph, which described it as “haunting, wonderful... an Album of the Year“.
