In the course of over four decades in Norway, Richard has made his mark as a distinctive voice in folk music, both traditional and contemporary. As a singer (in English and Norwegian) and a musician (on English concertina, guitar and mandolin) he has contributed to numerous bands and projects. He is also a song writer, both in English and Norwegian.
Richard lives in Fredrikstad, south of Oslo, where he has organized numerous festivals and hosts the folk club Trad Session at St. Croix House.
