Sagrada Familia, ‘Sacred Family’, passionately transmit and share the music of their ancient high mountain homelands, fostering a message of harmony, gratitude & unity. A Latin American music trio in which we find Kanti Qena (Peru) and Phaxsi Coca (Bolivia), of Lokandes renown, a ground-breaking Andean fusion band, performing with their London-born son Raymi Willka. Brought up steeped in his Andean heritage, Raymi is fast developing his own version of the virtuoso musicianship of his parents. Expect a magical, ritualistic evening for midsummer.

Kanti Qena, aka Carlos Saldana, from Peru, is based in London and is a composer and multi instrumentalist musician. His main instruments are the qena and charango, both from the Andes: Bolivia and Peru. Kanti has performed in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Brasil, Germany, Spain and the UK. He has recorded different albums in different styles and genres. He is the founder of the band Lokandes.
Bolivian Phaxsi Coca is Jeanette Rojas’ stage name. Phaxsi in Aymara language means ‘Mother Moon’, and Coca is the sacred coca leaf, a traditional holy symbol of the integration of nature and people in the South American Andes area dating back many millennia. She plays the traditional wind instruments from the Andes region, such as a family of Sikus (similar to panpipes, made from bamboo), qenas, tarqas and charango.
