Brilliant, bold and controversial one woman hurricane absolutely thrilling to see live. Rebellious in spirit, early punk in nature and far more artistic in her approach to music. Hailing from “fascist land“ in South of France (Menton), Sam left the country in 2003 after a realisation that “being a black woman whose music is influenced by punk and post-rock could never integrate into the colonialist culture of France. This move proved fruitful, from her very first gig in the capital city London Sam says she felt that she, and so too her music, were understood.
Sam has performed at Madame Jojo’s, The Old Blue Last; The Factory in Manchester and Metropolis in Bristol, plus festivals in Belgium, Sweden, Portugal and Spain supporting artists like Roots Manuva, Boy George and Beardyman. .
Sam writes, plays and produces her own music, proving the style and stage persona are equally met with skill and ability.
