Sarah-Beth
Sarah-Beth is a 21 year-old singer-songwriter from Cork who likes to push creative boundaries. Her music combines folk and alternative pop which is a constant state of evolution. Lyrics always come first and derive from personal relationships, social issues and reflective thoughts. Her words are at the centre of her songs and for this reason she places much emphasis on the voice.
Sarah-Beth released her first EP ‘Your Muse’ in summer 2017. The EP is a collection of ethereal piano songs based on the themes of beauty and recognition of the human as a work of art. She is also a visual artist and likes to merge the concepts of her visual and audio work into one as a more holistic approach.
Sarah-Beth has experienced recent success supporting artists such as Wyvern Lingo and the Hypnotic Brass ensemble and Stephanie Rainey. She has found herself in the festival circuit playing Indiependence, Townlands, Guiness Cork Jazz festival and venues such as the St.Lukes and Caughlans and Connollys of Leap. One of her proudest moments was playing for President Michael D Higgins.
Sarah-Beth is versatile when it comes to performance and enjoys playing intimate solo gigs with the accompaniment of her piano and with a live band for a more up-tempo show. Her four piece band combines electronic and acoustic elements to produce an atmospheric sound that is both easy listening and vibrant.
