Shevek is a project by singer and guitarist Tristram Bawtree which draws on influences such as Chad VanGaalen, Mount Eerie and Arthur Russell. The Jonasstrasse EP is his first release, on Musclemilk Records, combining conventional songs with passages of freer noise or loops, and put gentle folk next to more abrasive tracks.
