This alt-folk duo is formed of multi-instrumentalists David Hoyland and Leonardo MacKenzie.
Their experimental acoustic sound focuses on cello, mandolin and violin layered with vocal harmonies. Their songs are inspired by folklore and the human element of mythology, drawing on narrative influences ranging from Norse myths to the writings of Neil Gaiman, Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung.
Musically they are inspired by artists including Moulettes, Punch Brothers, Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston, Tobias Ben Jacob, Andrew Bird, and Max Richter.
As former members of the acclaimed folk band Kadia, these two fine young musicians have enough pedigree between them to win over audiences all across the country.
