Tina May is one of the UK´s leading jazz singers. Since starting out in a Parisian student revue, with impressionist Rory Bremner no less, she has gone on to sing with a kaleidoscope of talents, including the great American jazz players Nat Adderley, Joe Henderson and Kenny Clark. She also recorded with Ray Bryant - accompanist to the great Carmen McRae - at the legendary Rudy Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey, scene of countless classic recording sessions, with Van Gelder himself at the controls. Her most recent album, Cafe Paranoia, has been enthusiastically received as a personal tribute the great jazz singer and hipster Mark Murphy and her international reputation continues to grow. She has recently made acclaimed performances in Shanghai and Australia, and her superb interpretations of songs sung by Edith Piaf have won approval in Paris and across Europe.
