“Whetherman is the moniker of independent folk singer-songwriter Nicholas Williams, who has released six full-length albums since 2007, with his first live album Whetherman: Live at Blue Jay Listening Room due out in June of 2016. With a colorful melodic vocal range, effervescent guitar under soulful harmonica, laying beautifully on a bed of poetic prose, his music feels familiar. Touring and being on the road for the better part of the last 6 years, Williams hasn’t just been performing the music he’s created, he’s been living it. Sonicbids, the world’s largest DIY platform for independent musicians, has featured Williams twice for their articles How to Make It as a DIY One-Man Band: Advice from Whetherman and What Your Onstage Look Says About You. As Whetherman, he’s been touring 150 shows a year in over 40 states across the US since 2012, as well as performing throughout the UK and Western Europe.
