Whistlebow
Conceived during lockdown, Whistlebow combines Tudor, jazz and folk performed by three divergent yet connected musicians: Patricia Hammond carrying her own brand of narrative folk songs, dramatic Medievalism and Deep Parlour; Will Summers combining Light Baroque with 70s Telly and still trying to make Henry VIII laugh with pixie flute and bass crumhorn; and Rupert Gillett bringing the contours of jazz standards to bear on Trad Folk, with piquant notes of Britten as an aftertaste.
