With Nell & I are an original funk and soul band based in Bristol. From Dartmoor, Devon they officially formed in 2011, but have been playing together in different formats for over 10 years. They draw inspiration from classic funk and soul legends such as Chic and Prince as well as contemporary musicians such as Alice Russell and Jack White, and have a distinctive sound led by Nell’s soulful voice.
Performing highlights have included performing at The Plymouth University Summer Ball playing alongside Noah and the Whale and Roots Manuva, headlining the live-lounge stage at Chagstock Festival, and playing live on BBC Radio Devon. They recorded their debut EP at the acclaimed Sawmills Studio in Cornwall this year, which has since been featured on BBC Introducing.
