Andrea Di Giovanni is an openly gay gender-fluid pop artist, from Italy and based in London. Andrea’s bespoke performances have led him to be scouted by many well-known pop stars, such as 80s pop icon Sinitta giving him personal backing after making Pride’s Got Talent final, stating “A star… original and fantastic”.
The inspirational artist started his journey at 19 when he moved to London and enrolled at the British Institute of Modern Music. He became a huge fan of androgyny-style as a concept, portrayed through the work of Vetements, Versace, Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga, and has adapted this to fit with his own definition, combining elegance yet edgy, to adapt to his personal vision of “Andrea” as an act. Dark yet intriguing.
Combining this with his desire to perform, Andrea comes armed with an album of new music set to be released throughout 2019. Previous singles have been championed by The Line of Best Fit, Clash Music, Spotify Fresh Finds playlists and a number of online tastemakers. The Independent also featured an in-depth, passionate interview on the weekend of Pride in London.
His latest single Shame Resurrection has featured on Spotify’s Out Now playlist and in gay leading magazine, Gay Times, alongside receiving over 60K streams in 4 months.
