Beth has been one of the most unique and beguiling voices in music for the past two decades. Her debut LP - 1996´s Trailer Park - pioneered a synthesis of electronic and acoustic songs to huge acclaim. The follow up - Central Reservation - brought international success and the Brit Award for Best British Female. Further albums, like the Jim O’Rourke produced Comfort of Strangers and 2012’s Sugaring Season, deepened the breadth of her craft.

Having relocated in California several years ago, Beth´s most recent releases have seen her return to her roots with her sixth album, 2016´s Kidsticks, described as “plaintive and soulful“ (Guardian) while Q Magazine reckoned she´d “never sounded quite so otherworldly.“

Well known for her collaborations, Orton´s also worked with such artists as Terry Callier, Emmylou Harris, Ben Harper, Johnny Marr, The Chemical Brothers, and the late great Bert Jansch. Appearing on Bert´s final album, 2006´s intimate The Black Swan, she is also performing live with him.
