James McArthur has just released his third album ´Strange Readings From The Weather Station´, on Melodica Recordings, to great acclaim. His hazily melodic and gently psychedelic songwriting style embellished with sweet harmonies is reminiscent of the ambient and dreamy folk of Nick Drake and Sam Beam´s Iron and Wine. He´s backed by pedal steel, intricately plucked acoustic guitar and beautifully interwoven fiddle accompaniment.
