Là-Bas Cajun Band are US fiddle player Heather Cole-mullen, UK accordion player Ian McIlroy and UK guitarist Miriam Hogan. They have formed a unique stripped-down Cajun UK outfit that is quickly gaining a reputation around London and the south east. Singing in harmony and also playing some of their favourite mix of Cajun and Creole two-steps and waltzes.
Heather, a Louisiana dancehall veteran who has played with the likes of T’Monde, Jimmy Breaux, The Lafayette Rhythm Devils, and many more. She has performed at major Cajun festivals in Louisiana and toured US, Canada, UK and Europe. Miriam (Joli Blon Cajun Band) has performed at the UK Cajun festivals and supported Cajun fiddle player David Greely (Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys) on his solo tour in 2014. Ian has been playing the diatonic accordion since the age of nine and he formed his first Cajun band, Rough Chowder, 15 years ago. He has performed at festivals in the UK, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany.
