The Balkan Wanderers are a Balkan-inspired gypsy-ska-punk band based in Oxford. Consisting of singer Antica Culina (from Croatia), Stuart Wigby on guitar/vocals, Clare Heaviside on clarinet, Marc Witte (from Germany) on bass, and Emma Coombs on drums, they play original East (European)-meets-West songs, often containing a mixture of English and Croatian styles and lyrics, taking inspiration from traditional Balkan, Gypsy and Klezmer music as well as the contemporary punk-ska scene.
