Artist description:From the town of Jinja (the source of the river Nile) Seby Ntege is a Ugandan multi-instrumentalist and an ambassador for Ugandan music in the U.K. Currently on tour with new album Five Notes – Seby’s highly autobiographical and uplifting songs realised with a full band speak to the African diaspora and are due to wow audiences at WOMAD and Latitude this summer. Seby’s immediate and danceable music performed with a multicultural band is thus the confluence of two great rivers – The Nile and The Thames – and features traditional folk instruments from Uganda alongside electric guitar, bass and drums. `Definitely Pan-African’ DJ Ritu A world in London on Resonance FM `It seemed to me there was the whole of the continent in there’ DJ Ritu A world in London on Resonance FM
