Artist description:From the coast of North Wales with just two old guitars, an upright bass and a bucket full of aching harmony, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band are out there preaching ‘country blues’, like you’ve never heard! Jim, Tom and Sam have spent the last couple of years shacked up in a caravan immersing themselves in Dylan, Waylon, Gram and all things cosmic. Writing, listening and performing relentlessly, theirs is a show that’s wowing audiences across the land. 2015 was an exciting year for the band, headlining numerous small festivals and appearing at over 20 during the summer. They had the pleasure of touring and sharing the stage with established acts ‘The Magic Numbers’, ‘Danny and The Champions of the World’ and ‘Ben Ottewell (Gomez)’ to name a few, as well as being invited to perform on ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris’ (BBC Radio 2) own stage at Country2Country Festival 2015…. Which led to a recording a session for Bobs prestigious ‘Under the Apple Tree Sessions’. The boys set off on their first UK headline tour in September with ‘Michele Stodart’, including a SOLD OUT show at ‘The Square Tower’, Portsmouth... With a forthcoming album in 2016, produced by Romeo Stodart another UK Tour and lots of other surprises in store, it’s looking like another cosmic year for The Goat Roper Rodeo Band!
