East London is set to have its own permanent, floating Village Hall!

Many of you will know of the legendary Jam Butty events held on an old butty boat (unpowered barge) on the river Lea. These rowdy gatherings involve many of East London’s finest folk musicians jamming (and drinking) all night long. The long narrow boat heated by a wood burner is known for relaxed good humoured musical fun, the musicians switching seats, instruments and music genres unpredictably.

Alice and Ian, the team behind the Jam Butty have now taken over the running of the butty full time and are in the process for programing a full year of events.
