Liv Dawn shares Written In The Stars video and announces Hopeful Wandering EP headline tour
Scottish singer-songwriter Liv Dawn has released the video for her uplifting new single Written In The Stars and announced a headline tour to celebrate her forthcoming EP Hopeful Wandering, out 17 October 2025.
Blending folk, pop and soft rock with Liv’s powerful vocals, Written In The Stars is an anthemic, hopeful track recorded at Chem19 Studios and produced by Jamie Savage. The accompanying video was created through a collaboration between Bannockburn High, St Modans High and Stirling High, alongside Forth Valley College and filmmakers Kimberley O’Neill and Duncan Marquiss.
Filmed in June 2025 at Forth Valley College’s Film & TV studio, the Screen Scotland–funded project brought together pupils, students and industry professionals, giving them hands-on experience across set design, costume, filming and production. The result is a visually striking video that reflects the song’s themes of resilience, trust and hope.
Speaking on the video, Liv Dawn commented: “The process was absolutely incredible! I had such a brilliant time working with Kim and Duncan, and the young people, to create the perfect video for Written In The Stars. I really enjoyed being part of a collaborative and educational project and I could see how beneficial it was for the young people and their confidence. The team captured the themes and story behind Written In The Stars really well and I loved working with them to bring the vision for the video to life.”
To celebrate the release of Hopeful Wandering, Liv will head out on a headline tour this October, with shows across Scotland and London including an official launch at Glasgow’s Stereo. The tour will see her perform in intimate venues, record stores and iconic spaces, giving fans the chance to hear the new songs live for the first time.
