Folksville Club
The popular Folksville club at The Half Moon in Putney was founded back in 1965 by guitarists Cliff Aungier, Gerry Lockran and Royd Rivers. Regular guests included Richard Thompson, John Martyn, Bert Jansch, Fairport Convention, Van Morrison, Ralph McTell, Wilko Johnson, Elvis Costello, Dr Feelgood, Steve Marriott, and of course The Who and Rolling Stones. The club became an iconic destination for Folk and Blues fans in London, which continues to the present day.
