Cheshire meets Nashville …
Rob Wheeler’s new studio album “Leave Tomorrow” (Out 2024) is a collaboration between one of the UK’s emerging Americana talents & some of the leading names in songwriting & production in the City Of Music - Nashville; TN.
Raised by a single mum & surrounded by a musical family in the NW of England, Wheeler turned a humble inheritance from his grandfather into a self-written, self-produced & critically acclaimed debut album, taking inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic in Hank Williams, The Beatles, Nick Drake, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer & Eagles. Prominent critics such as Neil McCormick & Paul Sexton heaped further praise on to its follow up, the complex & introspective Ten Embers.
In 2021 the MidWinter Songs EP hit #1 on the Singer Songwriter Chart & he was awarded ARC Radio’s songwriter of the year.
He was signed to an exclusive global deal with Bucks Music Group (David Bowie, The Rolling Stones); Absolute (Lauren Ray, Don McLean) & management with Red Grape (Peggy Seeger)
His version of TLC’s hit Waterfalls, exclusively featured on Café Covers, Vol. 3 was released in March 2024.
Wheeler has collaborated as a songwriter, producer & touring musician with an array of distinguished names including: Ashley Campbell, Robbie McIntosh, Justin King, Steve Dorff, Daisy Chute, Jeff Trott, Adam Wright, Marla Cannon-Goodman, Mando Saenz, John Smith, The Shires, Nell Bryden & Newton Faulkner.
An intimate performer; equally passionate and expressive with his voice and guitar, Wheeler is an artist to be enjoyed live and up close as well as through dropped needle.
