Donal Lunny and Paddy Glackin
Donal Lunny has been one of Ireland’s most influential musicians for close to 50 years. Considered to be the pioneer of Irish trad and folk music, the guitar / bouzouki player was a founding member of Ireland’s super-groups ‘Planxty’, ‘The Bothy Band’ and ‘Moving Hearts’. He has worked with artists such as Kate Bush, Paul Brady, Elvis Costello, Van Morrison, Mark Knofler, Hot House Flowers, Sinead O Connor and Sharon Shannon; He has played in the bands ‘Coolfin’, ‘Mozaik’, ‘LAPD’ and he is currently a member of the awesome band ‘Ushers Island’ which also features Paddy Glackin. Irish fiddle genius Paddy Glackin was also a member of The Bothy Band – winner of Ireland’s Traditional Musicians Of The Year, he is considered to be simply one of Ireland’s greatest living fiddle players.
