Koyiate Kodialy

Kadialy Kouyate is a musician, a singer songwriter inspired by the West African Griot
repertoire. Born into the great line of Kouyate Griot in Southern Senegal, Kadialy’s
mesmerising kora playing and singing style have been appreciated in many prestigious
venues as both a soloist and in different ensembles. He has headlined the WOMAD stage with Baaba Maal, and has recorded with Mumford and Sons and Baaba Maal, resulting in a no.1 record in South Africa. This Mumford and Sons / Baaba Maal colaboration was released in the UK this April. He has appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Compnay in their 2012 Julius Caesar production, has played Woodstock wuth the Afro Celt Sound System to an audience of 750,000 people, and graced the stages of The Royal Festival Hall, the O2 Arena and the Queen Elizabeth Hall, to name just three. He´s a wonderful, gifted musician, and a brilliant addition to the Winemakers stage.
