Monroe´s
Opened in 2009, Monroes Live is a 400 capacity award winning venue in Galway city hosting over 250 events annually. In the past artists such as Kodaline, The Darkness, Neil Hannon, Texas, Alabama 3, Hot Chip, Hothouse Flowers, Damien Dempsey have graced the stage. In 2021, Monroes hosted the “Bringing It All Back Home” series which featured some of the best Irish talent including Sharon Shannon, Hudson Taylor, KILA, The Frank and Walters, HamsandwicH, God Is An Astronaut and many more.
Backstage at Monroes is a 150 capacity room opened in 2011 which features the best in breaking talent and intimate acoustic performances. It’s also the home of our regular cub nights Flashback and Urban Fridays. Past acts who have performed include Kodaline, The Academic, Walking on Cars, True Tides amongst others.
