All Our UK Gigs Folk Music Venues
The Jericho Tavern

A bastion of up and coming musical talent, The Jericho Tavern has hosted an array of live bands who have gone on to become influential acts , including Radiohead, who played their first gig at the pub in 1986, and Supergrass, who secured a record deal after playing there in 1994. Part and parcel of local history, The Jericho’s bohemian feel draws in students from the city’s famous universities and remains a popular spot for after-work drinks, a mid-week bite to eat and weekend nights out. Its unique beer garden makes it all the more appealing for a visit during the summer – with ample seating, cosy booths and sheltered tables for days when the weather is a little more Britain than Bahamas… Conveniently located for St Giles, Observatory Street or Summertown, as well as a great spot for relaxation and refreshment whilst visiting Oxford city centre and its oodles of historic sites, The Jericho Tavern is easy to find but perhaps a little harder to leave…
