Rostrevor is famed for its musicians, including some of Ireland’s finest folk and traditional artists. Most feature at the Rostrevor Inn some time during the week.
From 7.30pm on Fridays we have a popular session with the multi-talented Mollys, followed at 10.30pm by the legendary Dermot McQuaid. We have live music from a host of great musicians every Saturday from 10.30pm. Each Sunday afternoon at 4pm Danny McGreevy and friends host a superb traditional session. Anyone can join in! From 7pm to 9pm that evening it’s country music with the amazing Tom Keenan. Our weekly session of songs and stories by the fireside with Matthew McGrath and local musicians is packed each Wednesday from 8.30pm.
Every other Monday, we host the Rostrevor Folk Club at Crawfords, co-run by acclaimed local folk musicians Colum Sands and Fil Campbell and Tom McFarland it hosts concerts by some of Ireland and the UK’s finest folk musicians. So far we have hosted many wonderful artists in the intimate surroundings of our traditional bar. They include Mick Hanly, Charlie McGettigan, Zoe Conway, Eleanor Shanley, Mickey McConnell, Avalon, Freddie White, Allan Taylor, Robbie O’Connell, Tim Edey and Tommy Sands. Eleanor McEvoy and John Spillane will be playing later this year too.
