Liz Hanks (cello) plays regularly with Richard Hawley and Thea Gilmore, has recorded and toured with artists such as Liam Gallagher, Pulp, and sitarist Jasdeep Singh Degun, and is hugely in demand as a session musician.

“London-born guitarist Zak Hobbs, praised by The New York Times for his “brainy guitar chops,” is the grandson of Richard Thompson and Linda Thompson. Raised in a musical family, Zak´s transatlantic sound blends country, rock and roll, and American roots with British melancholy - and will be featured on Martin Simpson´s upcoming album as well as this live performance.
