Minchinhampton Folk Club
Since our founding in July 2003 by local folkie John Mills, Minchinhampton Folk Club has given pleasure to thousands of singers, players, listeners and joiners-in from the four corners of the British Isles and beyond. We are by no means just about folk music. Each Thursday night from about 8.15, the rafters ring to the sound of modern and traditional folk, blues, country, jazz, classical, bluegrass – in fact, all kinds of music.
At MFC we believe in encouraging new performers and fresh talent – just turn up, say hello and play. We don’t expect you to be accomplished, just to do your best and enter into the spirit of the evening.
The music starts at 8.15 and finishes around 11. Requested donation £2 on entry, and please give more if we have a guest artist ´doing it for the door´.
