help Event/ Promoter
There are 4 ways to use the Event/Promoter box.

1. Leave it blank – at the top of your gig listing it will say “Live In Region”. eg. “Live in London” or “Live in UK”

2. Type something in the box – what you type will appear at the top of your gig. eg. “Paul´s Birthday Party” or “My Album Launch”
A temporary Event/Promoter Profile by this name will be created in our Event/ Promoter List so you can add a picture, a description or edit what you have written.

3. Search our Event/Promoter list – type the name of an Event/Promoter in the box and if it is already on our database it will appear in our search results. Click on it to link them to your gig. eg. “New Roots Presents”
This will link your gig to their profile which holds details of all their other gigs as well as their photo and description. It will help people find your event.

4. Create a New Event/Promoter – if the Event/Promoter is not on our database then press the Create New Event button and add the details. eg. “My new event”
If it is a regular event/promoter please remember to click the Regular Event/Promoter Box so it appears in the Search Results for others to use.

Event/Promoter details and photo can be edited via the Event Profile Page in the Event/Promoter List.

help Venue
There are 4 ways to use the Venue box.

1. Leave it blank – in which case your gig venue will be listed as “Secret”

2. Type Something in the box – what you type will appear as your venue
eg. “Round the back of the bins in Victoria Park, Hackney”

3. Search our extensive Venue list – type in the name of a Venue, if it is already on our database it will appear in the search results. Click on it and instantly all the Venue details will be linked to your gig.
eg. “Union Chapel”
You can check it is the correct venue using the Detail button.
Linking your gig to Venue´s profile will make it appear on their page along with their other gigs, address, phone number, photo and description. It will help people find your event.

4. Create a New Venue – if your Venue is not in our search results then press the Create New Venue button to add your Venue´s details to our database.
If it is not a one off venue then please remember to click the Regular Venue Box so others can load gigs to it. Please also add the postcode so people can use our map function.

Venue details and pictures can be edited from the Venue´s profile page in the Venue List.

help Artists
Add to your listing who is playing at your event. There are 3 ways to use this.

1. Artist is on our database (hundreds are!) - Type the name of an Artist performing at your concert into the search box. If they are in our Search Results click on their name and all their details will be automatically linked to your gig. Your gig will also appear of their Folk and Honey Profile Page.

2. Artist´s name does not come up in our search - If the Artist´s name does not appear in the Search Result then press Create New Artist and fill in their details. We ask that you add a photograph and a facebook/link if possible, since our users get very curious and respond best to imagery and forward links.

3. Leave blank - if it´s more appropriate not to add any artists to your event then leave this box blank. Perhaps you could use the Subtitle box to outline what will be happening at your event.
eg. “Traditional Irish Session” or “Open Mic”

The order of Artists can be changed using the arrows. The headline act should be at the top.

You gig will not be submitted to the system until Publish Event is pressed. This button only becomes active if acceptable Promo Code has been used.

Listing for free
If you would like to list your gig for free please press the List Gigs For Free button on the left and get you free Promo Code.

Editing
You can edit the details of your Gig Listing (venue/time/price etc.) via the acceptance email.
Event/Promoter, Venue or ArtistProfile Pages can be edited and more details/pictures added via the Edit Button on the Profile Page itself. You will find Profile Pages in the Artists, Venues and Promoters Lists in the menu at the top of the page.
All changes to these pages require approval by an administrator, usually with in 24 hours. You may have to refresh your browser to view the changes.
We strongly recommend that you add as many details as possible. Our users respond best to profiles accompanied by imagery, description and onward links.
