Chiara Oldano is a 21-year old Italian singer-songwriter based in London. Music has been a passion of hers from an early age as she has been developing her technique for years in opera, gospel, and soul. Chiara attended a summer program at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston before starting her University studies and she is now in her final year at the University of Exeter. This wide variety of genres and cultural influences has given Chiara her own unique singing and songwriting style. She claims such legends as Céline Dion, Matt Corby, Etta James and Freddie Mercury as major influences.
Music and the creative arts are often pushed aside as students are told to focus on other studies. Chiara’s inspiration and drive came from her experience in the academic system, where she found creative subjects to be undervalued. Chiara has taken this to heart and aims to bring to light a focus on musical dreams in her debut EP. A metaphor for the journey we all experience as kids, the new EP is an adventure filled with discovery, freedom and curiosity where achievements seem limitless. She is preparing to unleash her 4 song EP Fluorescently to the world which will be released over the next few months.
