“LEGENDS OF THE EDGE”
A celebration show with music and narration of the myths, lives, loves and stories from The Edge of Alderley in NE Cheshire.

Joe Beard and Friends have performed this well researched, unique and evocative show over the decades since 1980. It was made into two radio shows in the 1980`s (now on CD from EPONA RECORDS) after it began life in folk clubs and fringe festivals. Later it was performed in arts festivals, library events, schools, chapels and churches. It`s most recent performance was for Tamworth Folk Club as a Halloween Special in October 2023 (featuring Paul Walker. & Karen Pfeiffer....with author Joe Beard and Malcolm Robinson as narrator.

The music has been described mainly as “folk” but has a Gothic feel and not at all obscure, but haunting and memorable.
