Liv Dawn returns with euphoric new single ‘Falling For You’
Scottish singer-songwriter Liv Dawn makes a vibrant return this summer with her new single ‘Falling For You’ - a radiant, full-band release that celebrates the sheer joy of falling in love, out now.
Marking the first taste of her forthcoming Autumn EP, the track sees the Loch Lomond artist explore a more upbeat pop-rock direction while staying true to her heartfelt storytelling roots.
Inspired by the rush of emotions that come at the beginning of a relationship, ‘Falling For You’ captures the sense of adventure, gratitude and hope that comes with meeting someone who brings out the best in you. With bright piano chords, driving drums and layered tones, the track blends the sincerity of singer-songwriter lyricism with the energy of anthemic pop-rock.
“It’s all about that euphoric feeling at the start of a relationship - when you realise you’re completely in love and looking forward to a future together,” says Liv. “It’s a joyful song about connection, excitement and being thankful for someone special.”
Written in collaboration with country-pop artist Kerri Watt and BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter Award finalists Gus Harrower, Mike McKenzie and Scott Wallace, the track was later developed and recorded with Liv’s band, capturing the warmth and spirit of her live sound.
From her early acclaim as a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award, to appearances at Celtic Connections, Skye Live, Edinburgh Fringe, and Belladrum, Liv Dawn has steadily built a loyal audience with her honest, emotive songwriting and powerful live performances. Following her debut EP Beautiful Daydream and her 2025 live EP Daydreams, Falling For You signals a bold step forward as she prepares to release her most ambitious work to date.
