Steve Jinski playing ‘live’ in 2025

Steve Jinski releases poignant new single “Never Gonna Work Again” and announces UK tour
Northeast-based singer-songwriter Steve Jinski returns with a powerful new digital single, Never Gonna Work Again, released on Thursday, April 3rd. A long-time favourite in his live set, the track finally gets an official release after repeated requests from audiences across the country.
Rooted in themes of redundancy, unemployment, and the decline of traditional industries like shipbuilding, Never Gonna Work Again is both timely and timeless. As we move further into the uncertain terrain of AI and digital automation, the song’s message resonates even more deeply. Steve’s honest and evocative songwriting is beautifully complemented by acclaimed folk musician Andy May on piano, with recording and production by Dave Maughan at Face Musical Productions in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The single is out via Lucky Smile Records / Proper Music Distribution and is available to stream and download on all major platforms.
To celebrate the release, Steve will be taking his acoustic, heartfelt storytelling on the road. Whether unplugged in an intimate club or coming through a festival PA, a Steve Jinski concert is always a unique experience—thoughtful, warm, and full of soul.
So, if he’s passing through your part of the UK, don’t miss the chance to catch him live. Get out of the house, enjoy the show—and maybe even pick up a T-shirt.
